UK Armed Forces and Crohns

Hello – my son has always wanted to join the RAF, but was diagnosed with Crohns 2 years ago and now at 18 years old, he is lost!!! Anyone else out there with the same frustrations/disappointments and overcome this with a different career path?? He likes the structure of the armed forces and being away from home, but simply cannot find anything similar who will take someone with Crohns?? His main interest is IT? Any ideas please. Thanks
