Back on prednisone after 30 years. Advice?

Had a scope yesterday and it seems Stelara has stopped working. I have a prescription for prednisone and will be switching to a new biologic. I was on prednisone 30 years ago and became dependent on it resulting eventually in colon removal and jpouch. Crohns showed up 8 years ago and has just been gradually getting worse.
I recall many side effects from the pred and am looking for tips to help with , or avoid, some. Weight gain, anxiety, high blood sugar and blood pressure, muscle and bone…
