Cancer and chronic illnesses and their treatments negatively impact patients’ sexual health yet sexual issues are inadequately addressed in healthcare, often due to societal taboo and inadequate clinician training. Sexual health is part of overall well-being and should be integrated into whole-person medical care using a biopsychosocial model.
